Very Nice! Good Idea.Maybe a little different as I’m in the UK but I decided to house my RO unit outside in a heated, insulated box so I drilled through the external wall, fitted an outside tap which connects under the sink and used pressure fittings on the pipe work and shut off valve so there’s no soldering required. Gained an outside tap and sorted the RO unit supply at the same time. The RO pipe work screws to a Y adapter which in turn screws on to the tap.
I agree with this. Soldering is becoming less common. A $5 shark but fitting is much easier and than learning to solder properly. And just as leak proofUse SharkBite connectors, no need to solder. all you need is a pipe cutter and push them on. That's what a plumber will do any way.

SharkBite Push-to-connect stop valves are the fastest way to connect to PEX, copper, CPVC, or PE-RT stubouts. These valves control the flow of water to plumbing fixtures including faucets, toilets, dishwashers,www.homedepot.com
Okay, which RODI attachment falls into this category than? The 1/4 is not NPT. You need one for 1/4 compression.
