Anyone know of a good hose reel with no metal parts? I need to replace my current reel that does have a metal part that rusted out and is leaking.

They make cord and hose baskets for trailers. You just coil it up .

This is what I currently have:

Wall mounted. Auto-retracting. It's great. I replaced the hose with food grade tubing and it has been perfect. Except that it has a metal part where the hose connects inside.

I know that there are similar reels that don't have metal connectors inside. I just want a brand/model so that I don't drop another $150 on a hose reel that does have metal.

I don't have an answer for you, but if you can dismantle it far enough to access the metal parts, covering them with a thin layer of silicone should, I would think, slow down the rust.

Maybe look into cheap (so they're plastic) air compressor hose reels. Come to think of it, since you want all plastic, you're might be better off looking for cheap reels made with cheap parts instead of the good/expensive ones with metal.

One other thing, try and find parts diagrams for the ones you're thinking about buying. Looking at the replacement parts may give you an idea of how much metal is in it.
