Does anyone know if hot glue is reef safe? I'm not going to use it directly in the tank more so just to hold some piping in place that sits on top of the rim. Thoughts?

It's relatively safe, but doesn't bond well once wet. If you're using it to hold the rock work together you will definitely want to work it into the crevices of the separate pieces while it's malleable similar to epoxy putty so when it cools it has something to hold on to. If you just put a big blob on there and jam the rock together and expect it to hold like that, it wont.

DO YOU THINK TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENTS ARE MORE HELPFUL OR HURTFUL TO REEFING?
