It’s more of a lifestyle. A hobby is something you do for fun. Reef keeping can be fun, but it’s something you must be committed to. It necessitates attention every day or at least marginal thought.

Some times we may not be having fun, but we must reef anyway for the sake of our animals, ecosystem, and our sanity for the amount of time, money and effort we’ve already put in.
