Thanks man! Long way to go obviously but finally have some noticeable growth and the tank is starting to stabilize. I have finally gotten my hands on a new testing device that should make things even a little easier

LOL, how do you keep up with all your tanks?

By the skin of my teeth lol! I do keep up with maintenance no problem, but I’m having an algae issue in my 750 right now and with all the issues going around with the 750 tanks I’m highly considering wrecking it and just running the 425 till stuff grows out. Then in the meantime starting a large in wall system in my basement so I can move everything to one big happy tank! Having multiple tanks is a chore.

Right! We ordered the WC system to make WCs easier on his 500 months ago and I’m a terrible friend and have been so busy at work that I haven’t gotten it built yet!

So it’s pretty darn accurate out of the box. I tested ALK with Hanna when trident was running test and it was 8.6 DKH.

I haven’t tested Calcium or Mag since Sunday but I was at 425ppm Ca and 1400 Mag.

Congrats on getting it, and getting it up and running! I don't use Apex, but automatic Alk testing and dosing has been a real quality of life improvement for me.

Yeah, I will have to buy the DOS if I want use the trident controlled dosing since I had the GHL dosers long before I ended up buying this tank and the apex system for it!

I am going to let this puppy run and continue to manually test as well to make sure I like what it’s telling me (I’m sure I will). I can easily adjust my GHL doser to compensate any unwanted or currently unknown swings (since I only test ALK once a day manually). The extra data test points throughout the day will be great to have.
