Your calcium is pretty low. Should be around 420. Phosphate is also high and should be around .08. Other numbers look good, but API test kits are not the most accurate. You may want to consider getting some Salifert test kits or Hanna checkers. What type of frags are bleaching and how long has the tank been set up?

That's a long acclimation, that's a long stressful event.
I do temp, dip 5 minutes and in they go.
Haven't lost one this way in a long time.

Since they've only been out for a few weeks, I am assuming the Blades are a new addition? What were you running before? The Blades might be way more powerful than what you had previously, Might need to turn them down a bit and ramp them up slowly.

Both blades and corals are new. And lights are in the break in/ ramp up period. Switching from lps to sps in the tank.

Everyone will tell you that API is notorious for inaccuracies. IME, this is true, but only with the ammonia kit. I use API for a quick parameter check. If the results indicate a problem, I back up the API test with Red Sea tests.

Generally speaking, your calcium is low. I just tested my calcium yesterday where it currently sits at 440.

Did you mean 14.3 Kh? If so, this is high.

A phosphate of 1.0 is high and should be addressed.

You stated your corals seem bleached. What kind of lighting are you using and, did you cut the intensity to allow the corals to acclimate to the light?

Also, what sort of lighting (PAR) are they in? "Bleaching" can be a function of chemistry, light or both.

BRAVO!

Completely agree; bleaching isn't necessarily due to poor chemistry.

I assume that his KH is in PPM. 143 = to 8.01 DKH which should be good.

I would definitely recommend renting or buying a PAR meter. As others have said this could be a lighting issue or could be a combined issue. Definitely correct the CA to around 420 and lower the PO4 to close to .08. 1.0 PO4 is way too high.
