How attach Cree led lens?

Hi,There.
Today My diy project rapid led is done.
I want attach lens on the led.
Can I use hot glue for attaching lens?
I hear that not should use super glue for attach cree lens.
Please guide me.

There is special silicone you can buy, I know ledgroupbuy sells it. Don't use hotglue the LEDs actually get hot. I've heard you can use plain silicone also as it has a high enough melting point that it'll work.

Thermal paste is generally not an adhesive, if you're talking about the thermal glue used to mount the LEDs to the heatsink that is different. I would not use that since I think it would prohibit removing the lenses.

Depends what type of "white glue". The main thing you need to watch out for is the heat from the LED itself and any type of fumes which may damage the lenses.

I stand corrected on this, if you have the thermal glue used to attach the LEDs to the heatsink that should work fine.

Yes I think it is thermal glue because color is white and after dry harder removing leds from on Heatsink.

Also in my white glue write that usable forfabric,leather,paper,wood,cermaic and etc.
And not for photos,submerged or heated surfaces.
So I can not use it.

As long as it doesn't fume I think it will be fine, you only need a little bit so use a toothpick and do not put it next to the LED lens itself. Remember when you push the optic down into the glue it will spread out so keep that in mind when considering where you are going to put the glue.
