Over the years I’ve lost many a Trochus snail. They seem to live 3-5 years in my aquarium, and get to about this size before they ride off into the sunset. Coincidentally, the wav pump is not just for scale. It died as well (not sure how long ago, could have been today, could have been a month ago). Now I’m down to one last surviving wav pump. Ironically the snails live twice as long as the pumps. I have to find a spot for yet another power brick in the cabinet….no easy task….I gave up on wishing for Neptune to come up with a brickless pump since the wav was dropped long ago😢 Worked out as I wanted to try my new tape measure out and see if I could get my phone to read it. I was thinking of getting one of those reekon tomahawks with Bluetooth, but $200+ smackaroos for a tape measure is crazy talk. This isn’t as great as I was hoping, worth a shot though.

Actually these guys are self righting. One of the main reasons I choose them over any other. I’m not able to notice if a snail were to be on its back struggling like a turtle and then flip it rubber side down. These are great in that regard. If I knock one off the glass when cleaning, they just flip themselves right on over.
