I have a 32 gal bio cube, stock light and stock flow

I went to the LFS to purchase my first big expensive torch.
They tested my water and said everything was “great” except magnesium was a little low and salinity was a “little high”.

I purchased a test kit which is on the way.
But my torch is shriveling up and not fully extending. I’m thinking the flow may not be good enough?

I have a hammer which is doing really well nearby.

What percentage is your white light set to? flow could very well be a factor mine likes a lot of flow but it might take a day or 2 for it to open up fully.

i have to add on to @Jpiotro cause my torch likes low flow so not every torch is the same you have to find that sweet spot if i turn up the flow too much the tentacles start curling on my torch

I would kill the Aiptasia but also move the torch a bit further from the hammer.

Hammers and torches generally do not play nice together.

will need to figure out what is causing the bubble and hair algae
aiptasia is getting large, flirting with the point of requiring removal instead of killing them, i dont know any creatures that'd eat aiptasia that big
if left alone, the aiptasia will end up being the only thing living in your tank
hate to be bearer of bad news, but the torch and hammer are pretty so want to make sure your priorities are in order moving forward

1) remove aiptasia rocks
2) remove bubble algae
3) once these two things happen, you should see improvement in all other areas of your tank
