I remember when I first got into this hobby. I used a 20 Aqueon with hood and light, HOB overflow and wet/dry sump. At first, things seemed to go well, but eventually, I made all of the mistakes a newbie makes.

I continued to work at it for a few years, but became discouraged as the results didn't reflect the time and effort I put in. So I started to scale everything back. The 20 gallon Aqueon with 1 clown, 1 damsel and a Colt coral became a 5 gallon when the Colt died.

And I waited it out, taking care of the two fish in the tank until they lived out the rest of their natural life.

Now it's about 10 years later.

Somehow, the 5 gallon grew to be a 15 gallon. Then there was a second 55 gallon tank. Then a third 40 long and finally a 33 long.

Now I'm build a water storage and mixing station next to my 8 foot work area. So, my hobby takes up the entire den!

How does this happen? I'm sure I'm not the only one...
