how did this crab survive ?

bought some LR from my LFS and I left the rock out over night not knowing I wasn't supposed to do that lol but I but them in the next day and there was this green lil crab hiding in one of the rocks, had literally just set the tank up and its now a month later fully cycled and hes still alive lol

They are tough little critters

They just need to keep their breathing apparatus (gills?) wet/moist to be able to breathe. And they can eat pretty much anything lol
