i've tried them all, and by far head and shoulders above the rest is thermoplastic material. i'm leaving out dowels and physical connections, which of course are excellent. but as far as sticking two rocks together, throwing some beads in hot water, and them pushing that material into the crevices or even wrapping completely and allowing it to cool is stable as heck. superglue is soluble in saltwater over time, and i've busted loose a few epoxy joints, not to mention it makes the protein skimmer go nuts. and you have to wait for it to set. thermoplastic is ready to go in 5 minutes. dirt cheap on ebay.
