how do I figure out which Vortech program to use?

I have 2 MP10s facing each other in a 55g reef tank. I thought I should use a 5-second anti-sync Gyre program to have the flow go back and forth, but I was told that putting Tidal Swell on both units was best for coral. What do you folks recommend? Also, should one MP10 be lower than the other so that the coral at the bottom gets direct flow?

I use tidal swell. Most corals love it.
