Magnet on the a small power head fell and this coral was in direct contact for a few days while I was away. Is this coral about it die? Do I just leave it and hope it recovers or just frag that small stem? The rest of the coral seems ok and it's just flapping on that one side.

I would frag off the affected area. More often than not that area would just recede more and gather algae, rather than regrowing flesh on it.

Yep I agree here, frag off the healthy flesh and glue back down to a plug leaving only healthy flesh exposed. 100% algae would cause more recession

I'm not really understanding what you are saying. Was the powerhead blowing on the coral or did the magnet just rest next to it?

If the powerhead was blowing on the coral and remove the flesh I would say yes cut it off.
If the magnet was just sitting next to it in the polyps are just retracted it should recover just fine as is.
