How do I get rid of these flippin anemones?

Wife wanted an anemone for the clowns. We got a nice rose BTA. Clowns never hosted and the dang thing split into 4.

I have marco rock that has been epoxied together and the nems are footed deep.

Tried to get to the foot with my fingers - too deep in the crevices.

Tried the "anemone cannon" - been 2 days and nothing has moved.

Tried power head today and they shrunk up but would not budge and it has been 6 hours.

I would very much like to remove this without hurting them but also do not want to tear down the rockwork to do so.

Need help please.

Have patience , the fact that they closed up says that they don’t like the flow and will eventually move . Hope your not blasting them too hard . I’ve had good success in the past putting power head aimed at them , I also put the disc ‘s and small rocks that I wanted them to attach to around the area that they were at . Some time it would take a few hours some times a couple days . Give it a little more time just keep a eye on them so they don’t get too stressed .

Thank you. I will continue with the powerhead tomorrow and hope I can get a chance to pull them. They are pretty stressed right now with the poking and flow changes.

If u can mive them to dark sump (make sure they cannot float into somewhere/ something bad).

They will eventually float out ..

Never use finger .. the cannon approach works too.

I have anemones and used both approaches successfully

With the nem cannon, sometimes you have to make sure they're not getting incidental light reflected down the tube.... Otherwise they think 'Free light and cozy space, this is my new home!'

Agree.

I put a filterpad sleeve at base to block all light and pointed spot light from top down the connon to entice it out ... it worked finally after some adjustments

I just used the ice trick and they let go in seconds! Crazy! I have been prying the ones off I could get to and they release toxin or something so didint want to do that again! These two were in easy spots that I could have but ice is the trick!
