Do the bottoms just screw off of these? I have always used tap water because the quality is so good, until this more recent tank and I have no idea how to replace the filter media.
The Bulk Reef Supply guys just want to sell me inserts ( https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/brs-4-stage-value-replacement-filter-kit-bundle.html ), but to take it apart first to verify, what media is in it. Even though I was pushing back and suggesting I should be getting one of these. https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/4-stage-value-100-gpd-ro-di-system-bulk-reef-supply.html

Not familiar with those particular ones, but it looks as if the bottom screws on and off.

Like I member (I saw this model once) the filter media are closed on Clips. Isn't going to be easy to open them, and if you use tools and bend the plastics during opening them after they will leak. Just in case, check is it glue on the GAP on the bottom side where are the "glanges" if isn't glue, try to twist the end section keeping the main on plase, if it only twist w/o unscrewing then is on clips.

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
