I have a 75 GPD Geekpure 5-stage RO system and have recently replaced my 6th stage (Alkaline Mineral pH+ Remineralization Filter) with an Inline Deionization DI Replacement Water Filter Cartridge in preparation for my new tank (RED SEA Reefer Max G2+ 300).
While I will monitor the water quality with my TDS meter, what is the expected period these DI filters will last? I googled this and got
"Filters used in commercial settings should be changed every 4 to 6 months. Filters in residential settings should be changed every 6 to 12 months. Reverse osmosis, membranes, and additional alkalisers only need to be changed ever 2 years or 4 years, respectively."
as well as
"Deionization (DI) resin lifespan typically lasts 5 to 10 years."

I plan weekly 30 litres for WC plus our regular home use of a few litres each day.

How often are you changing?

This does not sound like an aquarium setup more a drinking water set up.

I change my filters when they need it
Sediment based on pressure drop
Carbon based on gallons
Membrane based on TDS
DI resin based on color or tds

Get the changing color di resin and it will tell you when it's exhausted, but your tds meters will tell you the quality of the water.
