How do you clean that scraper-resistant green algae?

I use this in my nano and found

1) the blades are literally razor blades. Super sharp. Be careful

2) the blades are very thin. It does a great job on everyday film. On crusty coralline they can chip or crack

3) wash and dry fully. They rust easily
We try to be as careful as possible scraping the algae off of our glass, and we wash and dry everything throughly once we are done using them. For basic film algae we use our tunze plastic scraper but for the more stubborn algae we have to bust out the razor blade

There is a ceramic blade that can be used on the Tunze. I just received it and am nervous to use it in my display tank. I did use the ceramic blade in a holding tank on the bright green algae. It worked great at removing it. I had just held it in my hand. Probably not the safest thing I have ever done.

Have not tried a magic eraser but am thinking on it.

I have that ceramic insert and it works great. No issues with it so far.

I love scrappers like this!!

I have 2 tanks:
1 - 10 Feet long
1 - 6 Feet long

These scrappers are awesome and you can find some long handled versions.

3 Things:
- Some of these have some metal parts, try to find all plastic. Remove and rinse the blades when done.
- Some of the blade packs use Oil on each blade so make sure your giving them a close look.
- A fresh blade will work though anything quickly including thick coralline algae.
