How do you remove the corals from the frag plug?

I use a chisel too if it isn't fully encrusted. If it is encrusted, I cut off the stem of the plug and just glue it to the rockwork.

Out of the water put a drop of thick crazy glue on the surface of a rock or tile u want to use and set coral in place. Let it cure in a small container and add when set. This will not work w soft coral species like leathers.

I love the idea of buying small frags of coral and letting them grow out... my only beef with it is I hate having plugs lying around the tank... i want them to look realistic and glued on rocks... whats the easiest way to get corals off of the plug without harming the corals? There are soo many corals that i love but am deterred because they come on awful plugs.

I do not have the nerve so I am going to keep the plugs. I watched videos go to Bulk Reef Supply there are at least 2 that deals with that. They cut the coral off the plugs with a razor blade. I have mine which I just bought on a plastic rack held on the glass out of harms way with magnets. When I get up the nerve I am going to " nip the plugs down to size use Tunze coral gum recommended by another member, Add glue to the gum ( epoxy and press them into place

I just mounted these few days ago and just used the bone cutters, flush side against the plug, apply slight pressure to grip, slow twist and pop. If it’s encrusted like the one behind just snip the nub off the plug and glue it to a rock or tile.
