How do you seal a baffle that you can't reach with the tube?

So I am trying to seal a baffle for the bubble trap on my DIY sump and I can't figure it out. A video I saw just said to use a straw. I did that and there is no way anyone has the strength to squeeze that stuff through a straw. I tried for ten minutes and could only get the silicone about 3/4 of the way to the end. Am I missing something?

Can you get to it with your fingers? Glove up and put some on your fingers. Think grouting tile
