So I just picked up a snowflake eel. How do you guys secure your tank covers and what do you use to cover your tanks. Glass, acrylic or screen? Thinking of doing acrylic. Thanks

Mine was a open top tank when I brought it. I then had glass lids made and put on sliders.

Fastening the lid to the tank can depend on tank material. you can possibly find small clips that would work. I'd check with hardware stores or auto parts stores.

I would not suggest using a solid sheet of acrylic as it will bow over time. I've been making these lids for about five years and people love them (but I can't sell on r2r, just giving you an idea).

I have something like @cromag08 - custom built but it only sits on top via gravity with two bars going across for support. It probably wouldnt work for something that WANTS to get out.

Innovative marine makes clips for Rimless tanks then you can use a standard screen top. Not sure if your tank is rimless or not...

Thats a nice looking lid cromag08. So im thinking something like that. I like the mesh top. Would help keep condensation from building up on the inside.
