I'm not asking about how to set the program for reverse flow.

I'm wondering how do I properly set up the gyre pump to do reverse flow. I was thinking of having a period of forward flow and then reverse. But if I set it to reverse don't the flow guards and impellor blade direction have to be physically changed?

Otherwise its not going to be pulling in water currently. Right now I can set it to 100% in reverse and don't see any flow, but if i set it to 15% forward its blasting my corals.

The Ai page has no information at all on how to actually set up their own device and how the reverse function can be implemented

Bumping your post!

My $.02 based on running an Orbit and a few reefwaves: a gyre in reverse is about 30% of the forward power and the linear wave output angle only changes slightly downward (maybe 25°) due the shape of the flow guards, which is by design I presume. IMO reverse for gyres is the same as scheduling a period of forward but at a lower intensity and/or reverse is a good way have finer control of lower gyre speeds and/or provide additional randomization in a schedule. I use reverse in continuation with un-synced gyres on random flow patterns.

TLDR: set up the gyre based on forward flow and enjoy the bonus change of angle/change of power the reverse spin provides from time to time.
