I have dual overflows and I've been trying to get the sucking sound of the overflow pipes to stop for months. For some reason it sound like when you pour water out of a full bottle straight down, the air trying to fill that gap, is there a solution to this sound?

Try inserting a piece of about 8" of airline tubing in the drain and the other end out of the water. It often stops the noise. Give it a try. Good luck

Can you adjust the flow rate? Ie, a ball valve in the drain pipe?

If so, you can also fine tune the flow rate so that it's not a cyclone of air being sucked down the pipe causing the noise.

At the perfect flowspot it will almost become a syphon and run silent

Drill a bigger hole for the air.

Not enough air enters pipe, water fills the pipe(something has to), water mixes with air, gurgles, water drops, not enough air enters pipe, ect, ect, ect.
If more air enters pipe, water flows easier. No more gurgle.
