How Does Allicin compound in garlic helps fish to digest food better ?

Garlic is one of those old wives tales that doesn't seem to do much of anything.
Idk about in fish but in humans it isn't a old wives tale, just cutting it and letting it sit for 10 minutes before use increases the phytochemicals by 100 times compaired to just chopping it and tossing it in a sauté pan, doing this increases it's anticancer/anticarcinogenic properties~ Jo Robinson "Eating on the Wild Side"

My grandmother grew and ate raw garlic. Lived until she was 98.

She probably used an outhouse as a kid. Maybe that was the key. lol
