Soooo- I have a couple of rocks with GIANT ricordeas on, how does one drag a ricordea yuma and not absolutely wreck the rock beneath it?
The rock in my Nano:

You might be able to scrape underneath the foot of the mushroom with a razor blade and peel it off of the rock, especially if the mushroom's foot has grown over some coralline algae. You can get the razor under the coralline layer and just peel it off the rock without damaging the coral.

Other than that your best bet is either some bone cutters (if the rock is brittle enough) or a hammer/chisel to break that piece of rock off.

There are very few ways to get that off without modifying the rock at all. Damage being too strong of a word.

Most of our live rock can be cut easily in a pairing motion with a sharp, clean of oil woodworking chisel. Using two hands slowly cut the rock a 16th inch under the foot. This will leave you with something to attach the mushroom with as they normally don't let go. You'll leave a small slice on the rock, which will be algea covered within a week or two.

I've fragged over a hundred mushrooms in this fashion. It just works.

You could try the anemone canon method (there is a sticky in the anemone & clownfish forum). Not sure if it would work for mushrooms or not, but worth a shot.
