my amazing dad came up with an idea of how to mount my sbar- as I could not mount to my current T5 fixture or hang.

He made brackets at the angle I wanted to mount on the rims.

The bar is no longer just sitting on top of my tank as it was. I previously had to physically move the light off to open my screen. Now I no longer have to do that!

Additionally we used heat resistant spray paint to paint it black to match the over all look.

washer for sure, I believe it used a piece of 2x4 or something for the block. We glued the bar to it so it won't slide off.
cool, will be borrowing this idea!
