So I’ve decided to go fallow on my DT. I’ve never had an ich outbreak and had several tangs for around 4 years. Either way, I always assumed it was in the water/fish because I only began practicing good QT procedures recently. In any event, I pulled all my fish and combined with some new purchases assuming if I was going to treat with copper, might as well get everything QT’d at once. Well, my hippo got a fairly significant outbreak (covered) and now purple tang has it. I’ve been slowly raising copper power over the last few days and now I’m therapeutic levels. My question is how long before the fish recover? Everyone is still eating, but I feel bad them.

Can you upload pics? Covered scares me a little. I want to make sure it's not velvet as you would want to ramp copper up more quickly.

@HotRocks
I started to think that may be a possibility and ramped up my doses quicker. Not the best pictures, but this is what I have from the other day.

Ok. Better picture this morning. Fairly certain it’s velvet now. At therapeutic levels of copper power, I guess we hope for the best at this point. Had this guy for almost 4 years now. Really hate to lose him now..
