How long does it take for a hippo tang/blue tang to grow to full size

I just got a hippo tang thats around 1.5 inches, how long will it be until he’s 5 inches because thats when he will outgrow the tank im keeping him in and from 5 inches how long until he gets full size?

My Blue Tang is 8”/9” long and about 5 years old.

mine went from quarter size to 5-6 inches in a little less than 4 years. Plenty of time for you to upgrade to a larger tank.

Mine went from a tiny baby to about 4-5" in a year. Cant wait for her to get a bit bigger.
