I love to read posts where folks talk about how many years they've had a certain fish! The longest I've read so far is 12 years, that is awesome! So lets hear it..how long have you been a forever home to one (or more) of your fish?

Think I read somewhere a guy had a clownfish for like 20 years. But the longest I've had a fish for was and still alive is 11 years next month. It is a blue tang that I rescued from a guy. He had hole in head you could see through and ich very bad. Now if fat and healthy. You can't even see the hole in head. Also about a year ago the pair of clowns I got at the same time passed away :(

I still have three fish from when the tank was set up in 2007.....a clown pair and a long nose butterfly. I had a tank crash in 2008 and these three guys survived.

This guy is in his 20s.

His girlfriend here is about 16. They are still spawning

These watchmans lived for 12 years and spawned the entire adult time.

These hermit crabs lived about 12 years. Most of the other fish I don't remember when I got them.

I had a CBB for over 8 years I lost her to a stupid accident, my fault! I could pet her like a cat and she would eat from my hand . It breaks my heart when I think about it! :( I would love to have another! Is it a rare thing to have a fish that reacts to a person like that? It has taken time for me to recover from that , she also would swim to the corner of the tank and look at me while I was watching tv , lol, a human fish!

I just joined the saltwater life. [emoji38] I've only had these fish for a little over a month, but I'd love to know how old some of my fish are. My pink spotted watchman goby is huge! [emoji38]

I have a Blue Tang and a Maroon Clown that I got together back in about 2002. They were in my first tank which was a 35 gallon (I had no idea what I was doing). They lived through some very hard times in that tank then in a 55 and finally into my 150 in about 2007. Had a complete crash in the 150 in about 2012 and they were the only 2 fish to live. The tang looks like he has a lot of miles on him but he's the happiest fish i have.
