How many clownfish you can have?

In Red Sea Reefer 250? 55 gallons DT plus 11 gallons sump. 2 ft long DT.

I have two juveniles of orange storm clownfish right now.

thinking about two more of different kind.

I agree, 2 pair of clownfish in a 55 gal tank equals war.

+1 on only two. Some ppl get away with more but that only lasts so long.

I have 16 clowns right now. I have a bunch of anemones though.

-pink carpet
-red carpet
-toxic green carpet
-LTA
-3 rbta
-ritteri
-blue gig
-yellow gig
-mini maxi

11 anemones total, 1 saddleback and 15 OA

Looking good. That ocellaris that's appearing to be dominant is probably the female. She'll keep the other fish in check.

This really is the only way you can have multiple clowns in the same tank -- a variety of anemones and lots of them to provide lots of shelter.

Looks like you had 1 large clown and added a bunch of smaller one of the same size?
Thinking about doing that but I've got a large 5 yr old maroon clown. Was debating between one small one for a pair or several small ones. I have a 280 gallon and 9 large RBTA's.

Actually, I had a small OA, added large saddleback, and then added all the little clowns.
