ok i have a pair of black leopards, maleagris leopard wrasse and a mystery wrasse and was thinking about adding one more to the mix and wanted to know what would be a good wrasse to throw in their or do i have enough or would i have to remove one to add the other, any advice would be greatly apreaciated.
thanks

I would not add any more to that cube and you seriously may have to remove some of them as they can get 6" in length as adults (Mystery is my pick). Do you have this cube plumbed with a sump or into a larger system? I'd be worried about excess nutrients as they have good appetites too.

I have to agree with Sara. They can get big and maybe even aggressive due to the small space. Good luck with whatever you decide.

+1, that is a whole lotta wrasse for that tank. If anything I would worry about their approaching aggressiveness as they get older.. they are some brutal fish when angry.

"A whole lotta wrasse for that Tank" OMG i think im gonna use that on some of the women around here....hahaha talk about a hilarious pickup line!!

thanks for the advice guys, looks like the male black leopard will be leaving the tank soon

Quick revisit-why would the mystery wrasse be the top choice to remove first? Seems like that one stays the smallest. Do they have a personality problem?

What are you running for filtration? With good filtration I dont see why not. Flashers generally stay smaller and would be a great choice. Just my .02

The Mystery Wrasse has the potential to become a big bully towards the other wrasses as it matures.

Thanks Sara, is it generally behaved with non wrasse inhabitants? It is so pretty. Is it also pretty hard on pod population?

Sorry about the thread jack? I get off topic and don't want to start a new thread.

Reef octopuss 150nw skimmer,10 gallon fuge with Mangroves chaeto red macroalgae and phosban reactor

As Sara mentioned, ditch the Mystery.

IMHO, while it might be a little tight, I don't necessarily think you absolutely have to get rid of the Black Leopard(s). They should be fine, but you need to make sure they have sufficient food. Three leopards in a 60 will deplete the pod population quite quickly, so supplement feeding will be needed.

all the wrasses eat pellet, diy food (shrimp, fish, clams, scallos) and frozen mysis. the mystery is my favorite fish of the four in the tank

i think that you have enough boiload in your tank as it is and i would never suggeat a mystery wrasse as they will within w few years at most be a pita as they become aggresive and not very good community fish IMO . they do look cool but they are like a domino damsel to me ,just to aggresive once they get esettled in
