My clownfish has recently become even more of a dick than usual. She’s taken a slight dislike to my bangaii cardinal fish and has torn the streamers of both his dorsal fins. The bangaii has no other injuries, but the fin loss is rather noticeable. How much nipping do you consider too much? The fish has also been more shy over the past few weeks, not by too much tho and is feeding normally and looking healthy.

The tank is 10g so not very large, full of hiding places and rock tho. Am I being paranoid? should I think about moving the clown on? She killed her mate of 6 years last year so has a history of snapping.

(third picture is roughly what the fish looked like two weeks ago for reference)

Don’t wait for it to do further damage,
Isolate the clown for a couple of weeks in acclimation box or sump
Once tail is bitten off, the fish cannot eat or swim properly then deteriorates.
