It’s been a while since I set up and I remember topping off frequently but just curious what size DT/sump and how much you loose every day. I’ll go first:
4’ - 75 gallon DT WITH 30 gallon sump (20 gallons H20)
Loosing about 1 gallon a day
ATK in the mail

I’ve just had the tank up and running for a week, tweaking the system before I start cycling. Dump 2 qts in the morning and two at night. Just curious what everyone else does

ATO for sure, especially with corals...
I have everything covered, so that reduces evap.
But in the summer, it’s about an 1/8th of a gallon per day.
Winter, if heat is on, it’s much more...

Cool season like Spring/Fall/Winter I lost 1/2 gallon a day.
Summer 1 gallon a day.
I have no sump/skimmer just open top 50G tank.

I have basically the same setup as you, 75G DT with a 30G sump that isn't full. I lose about 1 gallon a day too, it was slower during the summer, but now that it's getting cold in DE its going up. However I just added a wrasse to the DT, so I put glass lids on the top and it's reduced my loss by probably 1/2.

In the summer 10g ATO reservoir lasts about ten to twelve days, but in winter only about seven or eight. I have about 70g water volume.
