How much flow for salt mix reservoir

I have read RO water can sit without any circulation but salt mixed up needs circulation.. how much would I need for a 55 gallon barrel.. would a mj do the job or need something bigger..

O e other question which made me post the original question.. I read its time to dump the salt mix if you see bacteria growing.. what would bacteria growing in a salt mix reservoir look like? There is a brownish flakey film in the barrel but not sure if that is bad...

A maxi jet would do the job in my opinion but I would give it a good hand mix before use.

How long would his salt mix be good for?

I do imagine this would need to be stored in a cool location without any sunlight that may hit the barrel correct?

It is in dark barrel, in garage and stays really close to 79-82 degrees. I do a total of 20-25 gallon changes biweekly. I then just top the barrel back off with ro water and add enough salt to keep the barrel at 1.025... I have never seen anything that looks like algae..

As far as cloudy, would it be obviously cloudy? I have never looked closely to see but after I do a 25 gallon change the water is crystal spear in the system. I M going to have to get a flash light and look closely in the barrel for cloudiness..

One last question, how do I prevent the growth of bacteria?

Wipe barrel clean every couple months, personally I don't like keeping salt water for more than 3 days,it seems to leave a orange looking residue/ film, in container
