Hey everyone. Really thinking about selling our orange shoulder tang. While an enjoyable fish, it does tend to push around any butterflies we try to add, which we'd like to have more.

This one is probably 6-7 inches by now and very healthy. It's also in our 125 which I feel may be getting small for it. Any idea on what to charge for it?

Why don't you see if your LFS will take it for store credit that you can use towards the purchase of other fish you want?

Beautiful orange shoulder. Me personally, I’ve given away fish without charging anything for them as long as they’re going to a good home. Tank size and good husbandry practices are at the top of my list. This especially applies to fish that have become more of a pet to me. I want them to go to the best home.

Just my thoughts.

To answer your question I'd say fair price would somewhere between 70-100 bucks, perhaps more due to size.

This of course depends how quickly you want to let it go.

It's a very personable fish. Just getting large for our tank, it's not my wife's favorite, and we want a marginalis butterfly. It will not allow those or copperbands in our tanks unfortunately
