Hello everyone. I am curious to what ML everyone doses in Kalk a day? I have a 197 gallon system with minimal corals in it at the moment and I am currently dosing 500 ML a day. What are you dosing daily?

Size and live stock matters the most I’m doing about 2L in a day in a 120 gallon via a dosing pump for top off.
Plus I also use about 10-15 ml of part 2 a day in a DOS

So long as your alk isn’t dropping

6ml/min 24/7 on a 220.

So 8640ml a day. Minimal corals right now too, but still keeps alk stable and it matches my evaporation.

425ml on a 40 breeder with only 3 frags in it. About to get in 7 more on Wednesday. Gotta love kalk. The more you dose, the higher the pH, the more alk/calcium used up, thus the more kalk you need to dose. That's a win-win cycle.

Around 410-420 with water changes every other week.
From looking at my trident testing. My ALK is dropping .12 everyday with dosing the 500 ML of KALK but CA has gone up and it staying around 480 and has hovered there. I wanna up it more but I know my CA will go up even more. Guessing I should start dosing ALK separately to get my ALK levels back to where I like to keep them?

I replaced all evaporated water each day with limewater via ato. That was a few gallons a day, or about 1-2% of the total water volume.

Adding 1% of the water volume in saturated limewater boosts alk by about 1.15 dKH and calcium by 8 ppm.

Limewater does very, very slowly boost calcium if you maintain alk with it, but I expect other things are driving those results, such as the water changes or test error.

Hi Randy- I replace all my evaporated water with limewater also. But i can't get my ph where I want it to be. When I start dosing, it goes to 8.3. But as soon as dosing is done, ph slowly drops to 8.0 over the next 12 hours. What should I use to keep the ph up there when there is no more evaporation amount ? I'm not sure if I should use the part b of two part or something different.
