How much mysis do I feed?

I have a 33gal AIO with 4 fish:
Pair of clownfish
A small leopard wrasse (2”)
A small Ignitus Anthias (3”)

I would like to get one more fish in the future. I also have a cleaner shrimp and tiger conch, and 10 trochus snails for CUC.

How many cubes of mysis should I be feeding, and how often? I just came off feeding pellets once daily, and wanted to switch to frozen mysis.

I would do 1/2 a cube once a day for now.

I would start with a quarter cube and see how fast they eat that. Feed 2 or 3 times a day for that anthias, they have big appetites and need to feed often.

PS - just mysis alone and nothing else is not a complete and nutritious diet. Feed more variety.

My LFS said they feed the one in their display tank once a day, and it has been in there for over two years.

If I can’t feed multiple times a day is it worth bringing it back? I don’t want to use an auto feeder.

Anthias are swimming fish, always moving, and so they have fast metabolisms, they need to eat often. They also need much bigger tanks. I feed my anthias 3-4 times a day

Alright my LFS is nice and has no problems letting me swap fish out. I’ll probably bring him in tomorrow then.

If I end up with 5 fish total do you still recommend 1/2 a cube daily?

that sounds about right. Try it out, if the food is gone in seconds add a bit more. If they watch food drop past them without interest then cut back next time. I find it takes a bit of time to learn the right amount to feed so they are full and no food wasted. Good luck
