How much RO water do you make each day?

It wildly depends on setup. I make around 5-8 gallons an hour on a 200gpd @80 psi.

Also you should consider making more at once because rodi is bad at doing small amounts at a time. Same reason you wouldnt want to use it as your ATO. The start stop makes you really need to flush your system a lot for tds creep. If you can make 50gallons or so at a time with one of those barrels. I do 30gal for my ato and then 60 in my mixing station reservoir.

My concern about making a lot of water at once may be unfounded, but since moving from town water to a private well I worry about keeping the water on for prolonged periods of time.

I suspect that part of my efficiency problem is that I run the water off my bathroom faucet with an adapter. In my other house I drew the water off the feed pipe running to the washing machine using a piercing valve.

I have space in the basement below the tank but then I have to figure out how to get the water up to the main floor.

A reasonable concern, many well pumps aren’t intended to run 100% duty cycle with a trickle of flow…

Do you have an accumulator tank on your well’s plumbing? (Usually a round topped/bottomed cylindrical tank) — accumulators are a popular way to decrease well pump cycles, and lend themselves well to this application!

I have two 100 gallon poly tanks that i setup as a mixing station. I have 100 gallons of rodi water in one tank and transfer it over to the other for having fresh saltwater 100 gallons on hand. And have an AWC that does 10 gallons a week on my mixed reef tank thats 400 gallons total volume so i make anywhere from 50 to 75 gallons at a time after filling up my saltwater poly tank and it takes about 10 to 15 hours to fill rodi poly tank back up. Running a BRS 150 gpd 7 stage rodi.

I fill two 55 gal brutes about every month for my two tanks. The large white container is for saltwater.

My system will make about 40 gallons in 8 hours.
Usually overnight I can fill my brute tub.

I have 3 tanks so 2 of those will do all my water changes.

Yes I do, I just didn’t know what it is called. I will take a look at it tomorrow to see if there is a way to measure how much water it has in it.

A couple years ago our pump had to be replaced and that’s when I started to worry about making a large volume of water.
