How much to dose?

My nitrate is currently at 2ppm, and some corals getting unhappy, i doses tosay 37ml for 150G of neonitrro to get 2ppm a day, is that safe? How do i kake a balance between awc, and neo nitro to keep a balance for my nitrate

Neonitro is expensive and lacks a purity assurance that the products I recommend have, but it is certainly safe to add 2 or 5 or more ppm at once.

When it runs out, I’d switch to food or other high grade of ammonium bicarbonate, or sodium or calcium nitrate.

Food grade is a purity grade of chemicals allowed to be put in human food. There are certain tests it must pass, unlike many random chemicals sold to the hobby.

Why not just stop the awc for a while?

That’s a small effect. Not sure how much is being changed, but at 1% daily changed, his current 2 ppm is only being lowered by 0.02 ppm per day. It would take 50 days to reach 3 ppm.

Agreed, and I guess the "just" was misplaced, but if he's having trouble keeping nutrients up, I still think stopping water changes might be a good idea.
