For those of you that get a little salt that makes it up to your LED lenses, how often are you cleaning them?

Nice thing with the Noops is that their lenses are glass, so relatively easy to wipe. Never liked the lenses for AI Primes.

Hello,

I'm new to the forum just thought I'd add I clean mine every day or two as its an OCD thing lol never leave it more than 2 days, I know its overkill!

Off topic, but what’s the bright blue coral on the sand bed around the bottom right?

No idea if it makes much of a difference in PAR unless the salt is really caked on. I wipe it every few months when I'm thinking about it.
I have diffusers which slide right off so the lens are protected.

On my radions I run the diffusers.
You would be surprised at how fast the salt builds up.
On my 16hds I just wiped them with a wet di cloth every couple weeks.
On my new Reffbreeders cleaning them looks like it will be easy to clean with a wet cloth.

I used to get less spray up to the lights, but lately the clown has been attacking my feeding pipette every time I target feed, doing tail whips when I remove the tube. Seems she is unsatisfied with her rations!
