How often do you rearrange your scape?

I find in the first couple of years of setting up a tank I tend to rescape it a little bit every couple of months. I don't usually move any of the rock just the free moving coral pieces that I have, or adding in new corals. Fresh water I tend to a lot more rescaping as it's easier to move the decorations and plants. But I find every time I tweak something in my salt water It's like having a slightly different tank and I get obsessed with it for the next couple of weeks.

ive been doing a pretty good job of leaving stuff alone as far as my 15 gallon but others it would depend usually once or twice a month

When I tear tank down.
I may add something but I don't rearrange scapes. Cover them with coral and they all look good.

Obsessed is a strong word. Let’s say, I find new interest or a new way to look at things and I rearrange individual rocks.

Having a slightly differrent tank appeals to me. I also have a pet peeve with monoculture tanks. When I say “mixed garden lagoon”, I focus on mixed & diverse filter feeders including: flame scallops, feather dusters, ornamental sponges, Bryozoans & Tunicates. A Caribbean lagoon mixes in ornamental seaweeds & easy softies like Xenia & GSP.

Set it and forget it.

Once I set up my scape, I only change if it's causing actual problems. Otherwise, the only change I make is adding corals, or moving them in the event that it's obvious they were placed incorrectly. But if a coral is happy where it is and isn't causing problems to anything else, then it stays where it is.

One of the hardest parts of reefing is being able to visualize what your system will look like grown in.
Typically I add the rock scape and then add coral. In 2-3 years ypu wont see the rock.
I like to.scape with corals so rock work is minimal.
My 150 today as an example.
