Another thread in DIY forum mentioned measuring phosphates and nitrates by how often you clean your glass. Just curious about how often others are cleaning their glass. I personally clean mine about every week or so with a quick magfloat pass along all the glass sides. What about you? How often do you clean your glass? (or acrylic)

I also use the magic eraser and I have found I don't need to clean the glass but about every 3 weeks. I love those things!

Does the age if take determine how often? Seems like I clean mine everyday my tanks are almost 6 months old and nitrate and phosphate see to be good. I am waiting for the day my glass stays clean.

Huh I didn't know you could use those either. Are there more than one kind of magic eraser? Any one specific I should use?

Yes. U need the original. No additive and Unscented.

Clean my glass every 2 weeks due to coralline growth.

Magic eraser? Wow, never heard of that, great tip!

I clean mine about every 2-3 days when glass is tinted slightly green with a mag float. I use a razor blade for coralline or heavy algae buildup if any. I leave the backwall dirty for my blenny.

I am suffering from high nutrients so I am cleaning the glass about every 3-4 days
