How quickly do Dwarf Angelfish grow?

Was wondering about Bicolor, Flame and Coral Beauty Dwarf Angels. Are they slow growers? Do they get to the size the internet says they grow to? Bi colors and Flames

My coral beauty is about 3-4 inches. Hasn’t gotten much bigger since I got it in March.

My coral beauty is like 2.5" and hasn't shown a lot of growth in the several months I've owned him. I have a bicolor just under 3" and a flame about 2.5". I was hoping they'd get 6" as it says they can on some websites. But it also says usually in aquarium they don't get that big. Mine seem slow to grow.

Its ok. I assumed when I got them that they would remain small. But when I read 6" I got excited because I see Emperors at the store that size and quite pretty at 6".

Fish with an overall smaller adult size tend to grow slower than those that have a larger adult size, with the factor of lifespan making a big difference. Large fish that don't live very long (think Mahi Mahi) tend to grow absurdly fast. Angels live an exceedingly long time (at least a decade but probably longer) so they grow relatively slowly.

At least. Flames and Coral Beauties usually hit 4.5 to 5 inches, bicolors are supposed to get bigger but rarely get more than 5 inches.

My old coral beauty was 1.5-2” when I got him and in the two years I had him he got to 4”. This CBA was given a varied diet of Algae, Sponges, Mysis/Brine and Pods along with other micro fauna found on the rockwork.

I disagree with several things in that care sheet, and I question their source on the size. 5", I can accept as a max size. Most will be around 75% of maximum size when full grown.

Maybe they Can.. I have two on deck right now. One 10 yo and one 13yo+. The ten year old is about 2.5", the 13+ right above 3". Both are fat,fast aggressive feeders.
