How screwed im?

I was cleaning the coralline algae off the side of the glass of my waterbox infinia 190.5, and i created few deep scratches, they are deep enough to the stop the blade of my tunze on the edge. Am i risking the tank for leaks now?

Don’t tap on the glass on the dry side and you should be fine.

Sorry for your experience. I have acrylic so I also have gotten too aggressive with cleaning and made scratches.

I have no love left for coralline algae.

Its hard to see but u see its a deep scratch what do u think?

Oh that's nasty. Is it a scratch or a crack? If it is a scratch, you have to live with it. Some magnetic glass cleaners really suck.

Sorry to say, you may have to learn to live with it. Short of emptying the tank and polishing it out, I don't see what else you can do. I'm not overly concerned with a failure occurring.

I am surprised the Tunze did that. I have many scratches in my tank, most of the big ones are from moving rocks. Sucks.

Its on the side, not the front so i dont care abour, in just overly concerned with leaks, like what if i wake up, and theres a huge crack, and it floods, im nee to the hobby. And overly concerned when it comes to that.

You might of got a piece of sand or something between your magnets maybe. It’ll be fine

Likely no as it will be surface scratches. Best device to use is the edge of an old credit card

A deep scratch is like 'scoring" the glass and tapping could cause it to break. Have you seen how the cut glass/

No... Based on the video above, you just have a side panel scratch now. A "tap" on the tank isn't going to cause it to shatter. That's just ridiculous. Unless you are "Tapping" it with a hammer...
