Sixline wrasse? Gotta take all the rock out. They wont go into traps and are pretty much impossible to catch if there's somewhere to hide.

I am curious what kind of wrasse myself. in the mean time you can cut the top off a 2 liter bottle and make a trap. takes time and patience

Use copepod bait on those tiny hooks. drink tiny beers.

My buddy who used to work at the fish store would keep nets in his tank to get the fish acclimated to the nets and would just try to catch the fish randomly when he saw a chance over the course of days. This was in a 150gal reef in his apartment and he was very good at it. The only time he failed to catch a fish was a six line wrasse, he ended up tearing a lot of his rock work out to get him out.

I guess that wasn't really a motivational story, but good luck man!

As mentioned above, a soda bottle trap. However, the secret is to put a small hole in the middle of the bottle. Using a turkey baster, squirt in the fish’s favorite food. Leave the turkey baster in the hole. Every once in a while squirt the turkey baster again (just with the water). This creates a snow-globe effect with the food in the trap. The fish spies the food and swims into the trap. I think the longest it took me to catch a fish using this method was about ten minutes.

+1 on the trap. Used it on a Niger Triggerfish terrorizing tankmates. +1 on the hook and line my brother in law caught a Lunar wrasse with a Bream hook and a chunk of shrimp. I would clip the barb off though the hook can leave a nasty hole in the lip of the fish which could influence whether you could sell the fish if you wanted to.
