I have an old tank that I’m breaking down and cleaning up. Maybe hoping to sell it or start another tank in the future. I’ve heard of a few ways to clean the old tank to get everything removed but wanted to ask the community what their preferred method is.

Bleach (pure without scents etc) solution is good, you can also use a citric acid solution if the tank is going to be used very soon and lingering bleach residue is a concern. New scrub brush which has never been used with household cleaners for large scale scrubbing, a razor blade for removing anything stubborn, new cheap toothbrush for tight areas. Good luck, hope to see you start a new tank soon!!
