how to clean / sterilize probes??

rebooting tank with new tank and new rock. old tank had vermetid hydroid issue. want ti avoid any cross contamination.

what is the best recommended way to clean and sterilize probes fron old tank before placing in new tank?

Are you asking about cleaning probes such as a pH probe etcetera? If so Vinegar will clean the mineral deposits off nicely.

If sterilizing hydrogen peroxide should do okay on a probe but honesty I wouldn't think the probe would need sterilized?

right now i have taken them out and put in a cup of plain rodi water. will be sitting there for at least 5 days. i am thinking that maybe that will be enough. my 18yo reef has become infested with hydroid and vermetids
