Owned this flame scallop for about a week now. Looks good and there’s no sign of stress, and it found itself a nice little rock crevice.
I hear they can go on for months before basically spontaneously dying. This is my first scallop, I have experience keeping a red tree sponge, which I’ve kept alive with great success using exclusively a few drops of reef nutrition phyto feast every day and nothing else… it’s recommended to use live phyto straight from your culture for those sponges but I find that to not be the case.
Wondering if the scallop will be happy with phyto feast, or if I should look into other methods.
