I just got new a biota yellow tang in my 10 gallon quarantine tank and he doesn't want to eat anything. When I put a pellet in their he went for it but it was too big so he didn't eat it then I tried again with smaller ones and he didnt even care. I also tried flakes and frozen shrimp but he didn't seem intrested. He's been in quarantine for 3 days. Also I've noticed he has friends rot but a white string thing is on the rotting fin. So is that a paradise or just the rotting of the fin
Here's what the fin looks like

Update I fed him some flakes and he's slowly eating them but I still don't know what's wrong with his fin

tangs do not always eat flakes. try nori clips

What are your tank params?

if both have fin rot there is very likely something wrong with your tank,

how often do you do WCs and are they with tap or RODI water.

is this tank cycled?
