Like the title says, i have found 1 so far and i kinda want to get alot more. I know they are considered invasive or whatever but i got into the hobby to keep starfish and havent gotten one since i found out they dont do good for the most part.

They self populate based on available food sources and conditions. If an arm falls off one it grows into a new starfish to.

Are they pretty hardy for the most part, this is the only one ive seen

If you see one, there's probably 3 more hiding somewhere. Give it some time and make sure there is food and more will appear!

I’m sure there are many Reefers in your area that would be happy to give you some. They accumulate as you add frags, and any arm can regrow into another seastar.

Don't worry; you'll probably have more than you care to have soon. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

very hardy, it will divide and make more on its own. It probably already has as evidence by the little arms growing back.

Mine are great algae eaters and I don't think of them as a pest.

Where are you located, I bet some people on here could throw some in a specimen cup and ship to you ha! Small bubble mailer... be like... $5...

My population exploded. Two months ago, I bought two harlequin shrimp to eat them. Still have a few near my clownfish abode and in my sump and overflows, otherwise, the shrimp seem to have kept them in check.
